Andrew Juola
Violin
Andrew Juola performs with many orchestras and ensembles in greater the DC area. Recent notable performances of his include serving as Concertmaster with the Avanti Orchestra, and in the violin sections of the Washington Concert Opera and the Apollo Orchestra. Andrew also freelances with numerous ensembles throughout the greater DC metropolitan area.
Andrew is very passionate about teaching. He currently teaches violin and viola lessons at Suitland High School and at the Mason Community Arts Academy in Fairfax, Virginia. Students of his have auditioned successfully for collegiate programs in music as well as in district and regional events on both violin and viola.
Andrew holds a Bachelor’s from George Mason University and a Master’s from the University of Maryland, both in violin performance. During his study, he attended numerous collegiate chamber music and orchestral festivals in the United States and Europe. He names Peter Haase, James Stern, and Steven Day as his most influential violin teachers.
