Rachel Kost

Bass

Rachel has been a substitute section Double Bassist in the Canton Symphony Orchestra since the 2017 season, the Mansfield Symphony Orchestra since the 2020 season, and the Maryland Symphony Orchestra since the 2022 season. She was also a member of the Cleveland Women’s Orchestra and the Mesquite Symphony Orchestra. She graduated with her Bachelors in Music at the Cleveland Institute of Music in 2020 studying with Scott Dixon, section bassist of the Cleveland Orchestra. In 2022, Rachel received her Masters in Music at Peabody Institute of The Johns Hopkins University studying with Ira Gold, section member of the National Symphony Orchestra.
